By Door County Pulse , Peninsula Pulse –
After taking a year off to fundraise and secure a family with which to partner, Door County Habitat for Humanity has announced that it will build its 50th home in spring 2025.
“We have been very blessed with two very generous gifts that will help us build homes for many new families in the upcoming years,” Habitat director Lori Allen said in announcing the news.
With the support of the Habitat Home Loan Program and volunteer builders, the Ferron family will become homeowners on N. 19th Place in Sturgeon Bay.
DCHH has a new office address – 101 N. 4th Ave., Suite 108 in Sturgeon Bay. The nonprofit plans to host an open house for its new location soon.
Golf Outing Planned for August
Habitat also announced two opportunities to support their efforts. In March Habitat will host a Booyah sale at the ReStore location at 410 N. 14th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay. Pre-orders will be taken through March 24 for March 28 pickup.
This summer, Habitat’s annual Home in One golf outing will be held Aug. 21 at Idlewild Golf Course.
